Description
The City of Henderson is soliciting competitive sealed bids for the replacement of 100 natural gas service lines at various locations for Henderson Municipal Gas. The contractor must provide labor, equipment, mobilization, supervision, transportation, basic restoration, utility locating, customer coordination, installation of new 1-inch PE service lines, meter-set construction, pressure testing at 100 PSI, and protection of customer property. Henderson Municipal Gas will furnish the pipe and related materials, including tracer wire, risers, couplings, and fittings, and will provide appliance-relight support and final cleanup after settlement when needed. The work includes service replacements in three length categories, plus potential additional work such as weld-on tap installation, extra service-line footage, CCTV sewer inspections, sewer-main jetting, and heavy cleaning. Bidders must submit operator qualification, operations and procedures, and DOT drug-testing manuals, along with multiple references demonstrating similar natural-gas experience. The bid package includes a pricing sheet, non-collusive bid statement, and required Kentucky campaign-finance certification.
