Description
The City of Aurora is soliciting plumbing services for maintenance and repairs to domestic water service components between the water main and the property owner's water meter. Work includes repairing leaking water service pipes and maintaining or repairing curb boxes, curb cocks, water meters, and valves. Complete replacement of water service lines is excluded when access is obstructed by structures or improvements such as stoops, porches, or concrete slabs. The contractor must provide stocked service vehicles, required personnel, equipment, materials, and response capability, including a 30-minute response time to the job site and a 24-hour telephone number or pager with a ten-minute response answer. Pricing includes hourly labor and specified Type K copper, curb boxes, CO2 line-freeze services, couplings, and other materials. The initial contract term is January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2028, with up to one additional one-year term by mutual written agreement. The bidder must be the prime vendor, be registered with the City of Aurora Building and Permits Division, and submit references, a plumbing license, required certifications, a compliant certificate of insurance, and the City's required forms.
