Description
Cook County's Department of Facilities Management is soliciting bids for annual full-flow fire pump testing and maintenance, including labor, equipment, adjustments, calibrations, written test reports, required witness fees, and Municipal Fire Code City of Chicago Brycer compliance fees. Services cover fire pumps at numerous Cook County facilities, courthouses, warehouses, correctional facilities, health facilities, and transportation facilities. Testing must comply with applicable fire-pump codes and occur during specified weekday hours, with certain facilities requiring testing between 4:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. The contractor must coordinate required witnesses, provide advance testing notifications, and report needed repairs. The scope also includes separately invoiced OEM replacement parts and repair service calls. Replacement parts are billed at original invoice pricing without markup, while repair work requires written quotations and County approval. Emergency repair service must be available 24 hours per day, 365 days per year, with a two-hour response requirement. The contract term is three years, with one two-year renewal option. Bidders must complete the Bonfire bid table and submit the required bid package, including the provided pricing sheet, a sample test data form, original-signature bid documents and Economic Disclosure Statement materials, and applicable subcontractor, addenda, and compliance forms.
