Description
Kane County Division of Transportation is soliciting bids for preventive maintenance and miscellaneous rehabilitation improvements at three bridges: Allen Road over Hampshire Creek, Dauberman Road over Welch Creek, and Main Street over Mill Creek. Work includes bridge deck crack sealing and concrete sealing, relief-joint resealing, structural concrete and prestressed deck-beam repairs, drainage and channel work, riprap placement, debris and sediment removal, temporary access and bypass pumping, floating silt curtains, traffic control, and related erosion-control measures. The project requires construction prequalification under code 09C—Structures (Waterway), electronic submission through BidNet Direct, and compliance with specified proposal forms, bid security, responsible-bidder requirements, apprenticeship and substance-abuse certifications, prevailing-wage requirements, and other county and Illinois Department of Transportation provisions. The apparent low bidders must submit an Affidavit of Availability within 24 hours after the letting; certain prevailing-wage and financial/familial disclosure materials may be submitted within 48 hours after the bid.
