Description
Escambia County’s Neighborhood Enterprise Division is requesting a quote from a licensed, insured, and qualified general contractor for the rehabilitation of an owner-occupied single-family residence. The scope includes electrical rewiring and fixture upgrades, installation of a new HVAC system, plumbing fixture replacement, kitchen and bathroom improvements, flooring, cabinetry, lighting, roofing and gutters, windows, drywall and painting repairs, and related work needed to make the home safer, more energy efficient, and easier to access. Contractors must provide labor, materials, tools, equipment, permits, and inspections, and may propose approved equivalent products. The bidder must complete and sign the scope cover sheet and numbered scope pages, submit itemized pricing for the electrical and mechanical line items, and upload the required supporting documentation through the OpenGov procurement portal. The work has a 60-day completion limit, and the solicitation requires current licensing and business documentation, insurance, and other qualifications. Performance and payment bonds are required for jobs valued at $25,000 or more before the notice to proceed, subject to the stated exception for a letter of insurability.
