Description

Escambia County is seeking sealed bids from qualified and licensed contractors to furnish all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, transportation, permits, testing, inspections, and incidentals for the complete construction of Myrtle Grove Fire-Rescue Station 11. The project includes demolition of the existing fire station, site development, and construction of an approximately 12,780-square-foot, three-bay essential public safety facility designed for ten emergency-response personnel. The facility is intended to restore a permanent fire-rescue presence, improve emergency response times, enhance firefighter safety, and strengthen system resiliency. The scope includes grading, earthwork, stormwater management, drainage and utility installation, paving, concrete work, sidewalks, landscaping, erosion and sediment control, structural and architectural construction, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, communications, and life-safety systems. The facility will include apparatus bays, administrative and reception areas, bunk rooms and living quarters, a commercial kitchen, restrooms and showers, radio/watch and fitness rooms, turnout gear storage, decontamination and SCBA rooms, workshop, laundry, storage, automatic fire sprinklers, fire alarm and mass notification systems, high-efficiency HVAC with dedicated dehumidification, emergency standby power, commissioning, owner training, warranties, and closeout documentation. Substantial completion is required within 365 consecutive calendar days after written notice to proceed, with final completion within 395 consecutive calendar days.
