Description
Escambia County is requesting a written quote from a licensed, insured, and qualified contractor for the rehabilitation of an owner-occupied single-family residence. The base scope includes roof replacement and related decking, flashing, vents, gutters, fascia, soffit, and hurricane-clip work. Contractors must provide all labor, materials, equipment, permits, insurance, and overhead, and use specified products or approved equivalents. Optional line items include electrical rewiring and upgrades, LED fixtures, smoke detectors, outlets, a doorbell, and related drywall repair; and mechanical work involving replacement of the HVAC system, ductwork, return-air components, thermostat, and a Manual J load calculation. The contractor must complete the work within 60 days, comply with applicable building codes and inspections, and submit itemized pricing through the OpenGov portal. Required submission materials include supporting specifications or certifications, proof of Sunbiz registration, a W-9, and proof of contractor licensure; new county contractors must also provide a letter of insurability.
