Description

Escambia County is soliciting construction bids to rehabilitate approximately 1,650 feet of the south Bob Sikes Fishing Pier. The work includes demolition of Span 51 and selected deteriorated components; concrete crack sealing, epoxy injection, spall repairs, and pile jackets with passive cathodic protection; turbidity barriers and marine construction operations; and related environmental and permit compliance. The project also includes ADA and public-safety improvements, including replacement aluminum pedestrian railing, solar-powered LED lighting on 30-foot aluminum poles, informational and regulatory signage, monofilament recycling stations, a galvanized 12-foot swing gate, and vehicle-impact-rated bollards. The pier will be closed during construction. Bidders must provide lump-sum pricing, a 5% bid bond or qualifying check, required licenses and registrations, insurance evidence or a letter of insurability, subcontractor information, federal compliance documents, and the completed forms and certifications identified in the Vendor Submissions section. The work must reach substantial completion within 250 consecutive calendar days after the written Notice to Proceed and final completion within 280 consecutive calendar days.
