Description
The Baldwin County Board of Education is soliciting a turnkey, all-fiber wide area network solution connecting its schools, offices, and other sites. The solution must provide resilient, dedicated, full-duplex connectivity, generally supporting 10 GB connections at school sites, with scalable capacity, carrier-grade equipment, fiber handoffs, VoIP and distance-learning support, quality-of-service configuration, and protection against link, central-office, core-site, and fiber-cut failures. The vendor must provide network diagrams and maps, detailed architecture and IP configuration information, resiliency analysis, permits, installation schedules, transition planning, and pricing for WAN services and Internet access separately. The scope also includes dedicated Internet access with at least 100 GB capacity and at least 40 GB of current connectivity, a contiguous block of 128 public IP addresses, equipment and rack-space support, 24-hour/365-day monitoring, granular network and bandwidth visibility, help-desk and Level 1/Level 2 support, outage notification, maintenance, troubleshooting, project management, training, testing, and ongoing adds/moves/changes. Proposals must include references for comparable projects, a project manager resume, local-resource information, E-Rate qualifications and SPIN information, financial statements, required licenses and certifications, and the specified forms and certifications. The WAN must be fully operational by July 1, 2027, under a five-year contract term.
