Description
The City of Thousand Oaks is soliciting a contractor to upgrade the existing Genetec video surveillance system at the Thousand Oaks Transportation Center. The work includes furnishing and installing new surveillance cameras, a Genetec directory server, primary and auxiliary archivers, current Genetec software, camera mounts, cabling, conduit, power and network equipment, and related electrical and communications infrastructure. The system must operate independently at the transportation center while remaining federated to the City's central Genetec system for authorized monitoring. The contractor must migrate the existing system, configure recording and failover functions, provide wireless and wired network connectivity, perform camera installation and alignment, testing, programming, training, commissioning, and closeout documentation. The project includes a base bid and alternates for additional cameras, upgraded archiving capacity, wireless infrastructure, and a failover directory server. The engineer's estimate is $250,000, and the work must be completed within 90 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. Bidders must provide the City's required bid forms, 10% bid security, licensing and registration certifications, subcontractor information, and required experience documentation, including at least three similar projects valued at $250,000 or more completed within the past five years.
