Description
The National Institute of Standards and Technology intends to negotiate a noncompetitive, firm-fixed-price contract with EffecTech for Non-SGS Luxfer brand aluminum gas cylinders. The cylinders will support production of replacement primary gas standard materials and must provide chemical stability for gas mixtures for a minimum of 10 years, as verified by NIST internal stability measurements. The notice states that market research identified the specified Luxfer Non-SGS cylinders as the only products currently demonstrated to meet the requirement. This is a presolicitation notice and notice of intent to sole source, not a request for proposals, quotations, or bids unless expressly stated otherwise; capable alternative sources may submit capability information to the contracting officer.
