Description
North Wales Water Authority is soliciting sealed online bids for three separate stipulated-sum contracts: General Construction Contract #520-26-5, Electrical Contract #520-26-6, and Mechanical Contract #520-26-7. The project will furnish, construct, and install granular activated carbon adsorption and filtration systems for PFAS removal at two existing well sites. Work includes filter buildings, chlorination and corrosion-control equipment, chemical feed pumps and containment tanks, underground and aboveground process piping, valves and fittings, backwash holding tanks, site improvements, electrical systems, and related instrumentation and controls. The electrical contract includes installation of SCADA panels and associated conduit and wiring, with two $103,000 SCADA integration allowances identified in the project specifications. The contracts are subject to Pennsylvania prevailing-wage requirements, public-works employment verification, state funding agreement requirements, bonding and insurance requirements, and applicable federal, state, and local approvals. Substantial completion is required within 270 days after the Contract Times commence, with final completion and readiness for final payment within 300 days. Each bid requires 10% bid security in the form of a certified check or bid bond.
