Description
West Virginia University is soliciting proposals for an inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) system to analyze complex aqueous samples for major metals and rare earth elements. The proposed system must include an autosampler, auto-diluter, computer, current software, installation, acceptance testing, onsite training for two laboratory technicians, and manufacturer warranties. Required capabilities include detection limits below four parts per billion for rare earth elements, custom methods, interference correction, multiple methods on a single sample, quick startup and processing, readily available replacement parts, and a benchtop footprint. Proposals must address technical qualifications, comparable experience and at least three current references, manufacturing locations, product documentation, implementation and delivery planning, warranty and service-plan options, and pricing. The completed Attachment A Q&A Worksheet and Attachment B Pricing Proposal must be uploaded in Excel format; the main proposal should generally be submitted as a single PDF with the accompanying Excel files. The unit must be delivered within 90 days of the purchase order, installed within 15 business days of delivery, and have onsite training begin within five business days of installation.
