Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Cincinnati VA Medical Center, intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis for five swine kennels, one mobile swine transport cart, and one swine lift with swing. The kennels must accommodate Yucatan pigs weighing at least 300 pounds, provide 24 square feet of internal usable space, include water and feeding systems and stainless-steel pan assemblies, and be mobile with wheel-and-lock systems or have user-friendly assembly and disassembly if stationary. Materials must withstand power washing. The transport cart and lift must accommodate swine weighing up to 300 pounds, with a wheel-and-locking mechanism for the cart and manual or automatic operation permitted for the lift. The equipment must be user-friendly to assemble without tools, require no building or room modifications, and include at least a one-year warranty. The contractor must service or replace malfunctioning equipment within 48 hours after the initial call. This is a notice of intent rather than a request for competitive quotes; responsible sources may submit capability information by the stated deadline.
