Description
Bergen Community College is soliciting bids for the Phase II replacement of approximately 25,000 square feet of roofing at the Pitkin Education Center Administration wing. The work includes removal of existing ballast, membrane, insulation, flashings, and related roof components; localized deck repairs; tapered polyisocyanurate insulation; modified built-up roofing; torch-applied base plies and cap sheets; wall, curb, and metal flashings; coping; drains; equipment supports; and walkway pads. Addendum 1 clarifies that the torch-applied system applies to Roof Area B, Section 075110 may be disregarded, and Atlas is the insulation basis-of-design manufacturer. The contractor must coordinate work around occupied facilities, protect the building and surrounding property, maintain watertight conditions, remove debris, and comply with applicable New Jersey registration, prevailing-wage, bonding, insurance, and labor requirements. The specifications require roofing experience, at least three comparable jobs available for inspection within a 50-mile radius, and a 25-year no-dollar-limit, non-prorated roofing-system warranty.
