Description
Alameda County seeks professional consulting services for a comprehensive signage and wayfinding master plan for the approximately 406,528-square-foot, nine-level Alco Park Garage with 732 parking stalls. The work includes a complete inventory and assessment of existing permanent, temporary, regulatory, operational, vehicle, pedestrian, accessibility, digital, parking-occupancy, and life-safety signage; documentation of deficiencies; wayfinding and signage needs analysis; accessibility and code compliance review; stakeholder coordination; and planning-level cost and implementation recommendations. The selected contractor will provide assessment, planning, design development, bidding support, and implementation support services only. Deliverables include an editable searchable signage inventory database, assessment and needs-assessment reports, draft and final master plans, sign-family standards, message hierarchy, nomenclature, typography, symbols, colors, materials, mounting and placement standards, sign location plans, preliminary technical specifications, supporting graphics, and related project-management materials. Sign fabrication, procurement, and installation are excluded; implementation support is as-needed and requires County authorization.
