Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price delivery order to American Screening, LLC for ONESCREEN 12-panel drug screening cups, part number ASC-CUP-0012. The cups are intended for use by Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Services at the Hampton VA Medical Center to screen for methamphetamines, cocaine, THC, morphine opiates, MDMA, methadone, barbiturates, tricyclic antidepressants, benzodiazepines, amphetamine, PCP, and oxycodone. The agency states that the ONESCREEN cups are compatible with its UNIPAC middleware and Siemens VISTA Chemical Analyzer workflow. Switching products would require a new testing methodology, software, procedures, training, and competency validation. Interested parties may submit capability information, but the notice is not a request for competitive quotations and the Government may proceed with a sole-source award under FAR 8.405-6.
