Description
The Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA), acting on its own behalf and as agent for Fraser Health Authority, Interior Health Authority, Northern Health Authority, Vancouver Coastal Health Authority, and Vancouver Island Health Authority, is issuing a Request for Prequalification (RFPQ) to establish a list of qualified suppliers for microbiology laboratory equipment, software, consumables, and related services for participating health-authority sites and facilities throughout British Columbia. The opportunity covers five equipment categories: Specimen Inoculation and Plate Preparation, Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing, Identification, Total Lab Automation, and Blood Culture. Suppliers may submit applicable equipment and associated proprietary consumables and services; products not associated with equipment in these categories are out of scope. Products expected to become available in Canada by contract award may be proposed if their anticipated availability is clearly identified. Applicants must complete the required questionnaires and schedules, provide category-specific pricing forms, and submit information concerning company background, litigation history, conflicts of interest, contract terms, workers' compensation clearance, insurance, and financial value adds. The process is intended to support future procurements and refreshes and does not guarantee purchases or volumes. Applications must be submitted electronically through the Euna Procurement platform by November 10, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Pacific Time. An equivalent workers' compensation clearance certificate or letter from the applicant's jurisdiction is accepted if the organization is not registered with WorkSafeBC. Proposed modifications to the draft contract may be submitted as inline comments with supporting rationale; acceptance is at the Health Authorities' discretion.
