Description
The City of O'Fallon is soliciting a lump-sum construction contract for the Downtown District Monument Sign project. The scope includes removing and replacing curbs and pavement; constructing a masonry monument sign with cast-stone components, custom illuminated stainless-steel signage, and an architectural water feature; installing associated fountain equipment, basin, spillways, lighting, controls, and water connections; and completing delegated design and installation of electrical service. The project also includes site concrete, sidewalks, landscaping-related site work, traffic control, utility coordination, and restoration. Bidders must comply with Illinois prevailing-wage requirements and applicable Illinois Department of Transportation and water-and-sewer specifications. A bid security of at least 5% of the total bid is required, and the successful contractor must provide performance and payment bonds. Field work may begin no sooner than January 1, 2027, with substantial completion required by April 30, 2027.
