Description
The State of California is soliciting sealed bids from contractors holding an A or B license for replacement of telecommunications towers and vaults at the California Highway Patrol's Leviathan Peak Telecommunications Site. The project includes excavation, cast-in-place concrete, propane tanks, tower erection, communications equipment installation, a solar array, electrical raceway, wiring, cabling, transformers, panelboards, a generator, fencing, and delayed demolition. The estimated project cost is $13,395,500, with a 1,050-calendar-day term. The successful bidder must furnish payment and performance bonds, each equal to 100 percent of the contract price. A mandatory prebid site inspection is required for bid eligibility, and the solicitation is a re-advertisement of a prior project for which no contract was awarded.
