Description
The City of Greenville is soliciting bids to provide all materials, equipment, labor, permits, demolition, disposal, lifting equipment, installation, testing, and startup required to replace the existing 40-ton split-system indoor and outdoor units at the Greenville Aquatics and Fitness Center. The replacement must include a Trane 40-ton R-454B air-conditioning split system with indoor air-handling unit model RAUKC404B/UCCAA30. Work includes removing and reinstalling the exterior fresh-air louver, tying the new equipment into existing refrigerant, hot-water, electrical, and ductwork systems, modifying connections as needed, restoring insulation, evacuating, pressure-testing, charging, starting up, and testing the system. The contractor must coordinate with the City's controls contractor; controls and fire-alarm work are excluded from the bid. The contractor must obtain required permits, comply with applicable codes and OSHA requirements, maintain a safe and clean work site, dispose of demolition debris offsite, and provide a crane and other necessary equipment. The building will remain open during the work, and the contractor must continue working onsite until completion. A standard manufacturer's warranty for materials and equipment and a one-year contractor labor warranty are required. The solicitation requires use of the provided Bid Submittal Form, accompanied by a completed Reference Information Sheet. A Certificate of Insurance is required with the contract, including workers' compensation, commercial general liability, and applicable automobile, professional liability, and builders risk coverage as specified.
