Description
The City of Rocky Mount is seeking a qualified elevator contractor to provide a full-service, all-inclusive maintenance and repair agreement for elevators and related equipment at multiple City facilities. Services include monthly and as-needed inspections, cleaning, lubrication, adjustment, repair, and replacement of machine, motor, generator, controller, door, guide, rope, safety, signaling, emergency-power, and related components. Replacement parts must meet or exceed original-manufacturer performance and quality requirements. The contractor must provide qualified elevator mechanics during regular business hours, 24-hour emergency callback service with a one-hour on-site response requirement, annual and required ANSI A17.1 safety testing, five-year full-load safety testing when due, repair reports, spare parts, performance monitoring, and maintenance of elevators and escalators in accordance with manufacturer specifications. The proposal must demonstrate elevator-service experience, qualified personnel, service and warehouse capabilities, relevant North Carolina installations and contracts, technical capability, and references. The scope covers 17 municipal locations and excludes certain items, including buried piping and jack casings, unrelated smoke and fire sensors, and specified building and power components.
