Description
Lenoir County is requesting proposals from a qualified contractor to provide design, permitting, construction, site management, and general oversight for security improvements at its Department of Social Services facility. The project includes repairing or modifying existing door frames and panels, repairing or replacing fire-escape doors, and installing ten new doors in designated openings. New doors must include 20-by-20-inch safety glass, closures, and panic-bar hardware compatible with electronic door strikes and badge-access improvements being installed by Down East Protection Systems. Proposals should include the total project cost, an estimated schedule, warranty information, assumptions or exclusions, optional additions or alternatives, proof of insurance and relevant licensing, and detailed information demonstrating qualifications and similar past performance. The contractor is responsible for determining the appropriate construction approach, complying with applicable codes and regulations, and providing the work as an integrated project.
