Description
The City of Washington, North Carolina is requesting Statements of Qualifications from qualified firms to provide professional services for Phase II of the Downtown Streetscape Project. The selected firm will be responsible for design and preparation of construction plans, cost estimating, bidding assistance, construction administration, and construction observation. The project includes improvements along portions of Market Street and Main Street, and will require coordination with the relocation of existing utility services. The project is divided into three sub-phases: Market Street from 2nd Street to Main Street, Market Street from Main Street to Water Street, and Main Street from Bridge Street to just before Gladden Street. The City seeks firms with experience in comparable streetscape projects in similar communities. The contract is expected to begin construction by November 2027 and be completed by December 31, 2028.
