Description
UConn Health is requesting proposals for weekly and twice-weekly laundering of customer-owned apparel, including laboratory coats, mammography gowns, and operating-room dispenser jackets. Services include pickup, cleaning, finishing, inspection, folding or wrapping, delivery, garment identification and scanning, reporting, invoicing support, and approved minor repairs. Work will be performed at the UConn Health main campus in Farmington, Connecticut, and at offsite locations. The supplier must support sanitary commercial laundering, wrinkle-free finishing, garment tracking, damage and personal-item notifications, and applicable Connecticut standard wage requirements. The scope also includes as-needed, non-exclusive purchases of specified employee uniforms and apparel, including polo shirts, work shirts, pants, jackets, sweatshirts, high-visibility garments, and flame-resistant garments meeting stated ASTM and NFPA requirements. The response must use the provided scope-and-response spreadsheet and include pricing, company and qualification information, methodology, staffing and account-management plans, references, sustainability and business-continuity information, sample reports and invoices, a sample laboratory-coat identification tag, safety data sheets for chemicals used, and required certifications and signed forms. The initial award term is five years, with an option for one additional five-year renewal period; quantities and total contract value are not guaranteed.
