Description
Muscatine Power and Water is soliciting a general contractor for Unit 10 Contract 281, Balance of Plant. The scope includes erection of owner-furnished equipment; drilled piers; excavation, concrete, testing, and backfill for building slabs, equipment pads, dead-end foundations, gas-yard foundations, and pipe-support-rack foundations; structural steel, pipe-rack supports, joists, decking, grating, guardrails, ladders, and connections; structural-steel connection design; and elevated concrete floor slabs. The listed work is not exhaustive and bidders must follow the complete project documents, technical specifications, drawings, commercial terms, and addenda. The response requires qualifications and experience, references, a safety plan and EMR, quality plan, Inflation Reduction Act narratives addressing prevailing wage, apprenticeship, and domestic-content requirements, subcontractor information, special-inspector and testing-agency qualifications, a preliminary construction schedule with estimated manpower, equipment-vendor data, present commitments, a sealed bid form, and a bid bond form. Responses must be submitted electronically through Ion Wave. The solicitation also requires acknowledgment of Addenda 1 through 4 within the electronic response. The anticipated construction period is January through December 2027, based on the stated anticipated start and completion dates.
