Description
The City of Iowa City is seeking a vendor to provide and install in-cab elevator emergency communication systems for two Phase One elevators—one at City Hall and one at the Police Department. The systems must provide two-way emergency communication with authorized personnel, automatic call routing when calls are not acknowledged, visual and accessibility features, video monitoring for entrapment assessment, applicable emergency communication within buildings, and auxiliary power capability. Work must comply with ASME A17.1-2019/CSA B44:19 and applicable accessibility requirements. The proposal must address system design, schematics, installation, programming, monitoring, software and communications services, training, maintenance, technical support, expansion capabilities, personnel qualifications, and detailed pricing. The City may later add additional city-owned elevators under the contract. Vendors must submit the required online proposal responses, including a signed submission letter, technical and implementation narratives, pricing, reference projects, and a completed Wage Theft Affidavit. The contract includes a one-year initial term with two possible two-year renewal terms, a one-year warranty, and specified insurance requirements.
