Description
This Request for Information seeks industry capability and interest information for two separate Military Construction projects at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. EIE480 would extend an existing coal thaw shed by approximately 8,439 square feet and includes reinforced concrete, thermal and moisture protection, insulated overhead doors, fire suppression, plumbing, HVAC, electrical work, and interior and exterior lighting. EIE482 would construct a 14,440-square-foot South Loop fire and crash-rescue station with four apparatus bays, support and living spaces, emergency communications, training and administrative areas, a 48,400-square-foot power check pad, and a gun buttress. The Government anticipates using a separate Other Transaction agreement for each project. The potential delivery methods are Progressive Design-Build or Construction Manager at Risk. Anticipated work includes design and pre-construction services such as scope validation, constructability review, cost estimating, scheduling, risk management, design coordination, and development of a proposed construction price, followed by final design and construction if the Government authorizes execution. Estimated project magnitudes are approximately $20.8 million for EIE480 and $37 million for EIE482.
