Description
The West Virginia Purchasing Division, on behalf of the West Virginia Racing Commission, is soliciting bids for an open-end master agreement covering veterinary services at Mountaineer Casino Resort & Races. Required services include pre-race examinations, live race-card veterinary duties, agency, state, and national reporting, test-barn oversight, Vet List administration, emergency treatment during live races, horse fitness assessments, oversight of urine and blood sampling, liaison support, and maintenance of treatment and performance records. The vendor or assigned veterinary staff must hold a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine, have at least five years of paid racetrack veterinary experience, and be licensed and certified by the West Virginia Board of Veterinary Medicine. Pricing must be submitted for the three listed lump-sum service categories: pre-race examinations, live race-card and veterinary reporting requirements, and Vet List work. Award is intended for the lowest overall total cost meeting the specifications.
