Description
Davis County is seeking qualified veterinary providers to support Animal Care of Davis County shelter animals through one or both service categories: in-house shelter veterinary services and off-site veterinary services. The scope includes preventive and surgical care, intake and wellness examinations, vaccinations, high-volume spay/neuter procedures, medical triage and treatment, disease control, emergency and specialized care, humane end-of-life decisions, law-enforcement and field-services support, medical-record maintenance, shelter-medicine protocols, staff guidance, and after-hours support. Off-site providers may furnish urgent and emergency care, diagnostics, hospitalization, specialty services, surgical procedures, spay/neuter overflow, and post-surgical monitoring. Proposals must describe relevant experience, service availability and capacity, treatment authorization and communication procedures, applicable pricing or fee schedules, cost-management practices, and additional value. All veterinarians providing services must hold valid Utah licenses, and vendors must maintain appropriate DEA registrations for controlled substances. Multiple vendors may be awarded based on qualifications, availability, expertise, service needs, and the County's best interests.
