Description
The City of Jackson seeks to establish a pre-qualified pool of three to four licensed veterinary service providers for as-needed, on-call care of animals housed at the Jackson Animal Care Center. Services include routine examinations, vaccinations, parasite prevention, microchipping, high-volume spay/neuter procedures, emergency triage, basic orthopedic and soft-tissue repair, dental procedures, bloodwork, radiographs, infectious-disease management, humane euthanasia, medical-record maintenance, and consultation. Providers must confirm availability for urgent or emergency requests within 30 minutes of initial contact. Respondents must hold an active, unrestricted Tennessee veterinary license and active DEA registration, and must demonstrate at least two years of veterinary practice experience. The qualification package must address credentials, experience and references, operational and emergency availability, staffing, clinical capabilities, and a completed one-year fee schedule. The anticipated contract structure is a one-year base term with up to four additional one-year renewal periods; multiple awards are anticipated, with no guaranteed service volume or revenue. Required insurance includes general liability, auto liability, workers' compensation, veterinary professional liability, and animal bailee/care-custody-control coverage.
