Description
The City of Yakima is seeking a contractor to provide two uniformed armed security officers for public-entry screening at the Richard A. Law and Justice Center, including operation of x-ray equipment, magnetometers, hand-held metal detectors, physical checks of bags and containers, facility sweeps, and security-equipment testing. The scope also includes as-needed armed prisoner watch for the Yakima Police Department, including 24-hour coverage when a prisoner receives medical care at a local provider within Yakima County. Additional services include seasonal lock and unlock services for park restrooms and ball-field gates, event security and crowd control, suspicious-activity monitoring, and dedicated site patrols as requested. Proposers must demonstrate relevant experience, provide qualified and licensed personnel, meet extensive training and background-check requirements, submit a service plan and references, and complete the required cost proposal, questionnaire, and other proposal materials. The sample contract states a one-year initial term with up to four additional one-year extensions.
