Description
The City of Yakima is soliciting bids for miscellaneous chemicals for its wastewater treatment plant: approximately 40,000 pounds of 37–43% ferric chloride solution, approximately 40,000 pounds of 75% fertilizer-grade phosphoric acid, and approximately 36,000 pounds of fertilizer-grade urea. Ferric chloride may be delivered in returnable totes or by tanker to a customer-owned tote. Phosphoric acid must be delivered in minimum 3,300-pound shipments, and urea must be supplied in uncoated prills or pellets in one-ton super sacks with specified lifting straps and tieable bottom spouts. The contractor must provide delivery by truck with a lift gate, FOB destination with inside delivery, and comply with the stated chemical composition, packaging, safety, transportation, and environmental requirements. Phosphoric acid and urea must be delivered within 10 business days after order. The bid package requires completion of the bid form, technical specification analysis, debarment and suspension attestation, vendor information and safety form, and signature page; all bids must be submitted electronically through the designated procurement portal.
