Description
The City is soliciting sealed bids from prequalified subcontractors for multiple construction packages for a police evidence storage facility. The project includes an approximately 24,000-square-foot CMU and steel evidence-storage building and an approximately 26,000-square-foot pre-engineered metal auto-storage building, along with excavation, utilities, a septic system, and geothermal wells. Packages include general trades, concrete, masonry, steel, millwork, roofing, waterproofing, doors and glazing, drywall and finishes, storage shelving, equipment, fire protection, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, sitework, radon mitigation, and landscaping. Bidders must be prequalified and licensed as required by North Carolina law and the bidding documents. A bid security equal to 5% of the bid must accompany each bid. Bid documents are available from the construction manager, Consigli Construction; the advertisement states that bids may be hand-delivered or mailed, with package-specific sealed-envelope requirements.
