Description
Wake County seeks engineering consultant firms to provide mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering for construction and renovation projects across its facilities. Anticipated work includes preliminary studies and assessments, cost estimating, life-cycle cost and energy analyses, schematic and detailed design, construction documents, bidding support, construction administration, and project close-out. The selected firms may support projects involving building systems and larger renovation design teams; individual construction projects are expected to range from $10,000 to $4 million. Proposals must address firm qualifications and experience, project organization and staffing, at least four representative projects with references, design approach, professional fees and hourly rates, litigation history, and current workload. The County expects to shortlist firms for interviews and select three to four firms. The professional services agreement will have a three-year term, with an option to renew.
