Description
The Town of Ranlo is seeking a qualified architectural, design, or engineering firm to provide planning, architectural and civil design, bidding, permitting, and construction administration services for a new public works complex. The facility is intended to consolidate public works operations, including water and sewer, sanitation, parks and recreation, street maintenance, stormwater, and general public works staff, equipment, vehicles, storage, offices, and meeting space. The scope includes needs and space studies; existing-facility surveys; site analysis and development planning; condition, economic feasibility, financing, zoning, ADA, utility, and environmental studies; concept, schematic, design-development, construction, bid, specification, geotechnical, and environmental documents; cost estimates; permit acquisition; and construction administration. Construction administration duties include advertising, bidding, construction observation, change-order negotiation, pay-application and submittal review, progress meetings, punch lists, as-built drawings, and contract closeout. The qualifications package must include a signed cover letter, firm summary, staffing organization and responsibilities, at least three similar completed projects, and a proposed schedule, within a 20-page limit. The selected firm must meet North Carolina registration and professional architect requirements.
