Description
The City of Golden is soliciting a contractor to provide comprehensive towing and impound services for its Police and Fire Departments. The scope includes towing vehicles involved in accidents, breakdowns, illegal parking, abandonment, and other incidents; recovering vehicles from difficult locations; removing roadway debris; securely storing impounded vehicles; coordinating authorized vehicle releases; collecting applicable fees; and maintaining detailed tow, impound, release, inventory, and activity records. The contractor must provide 24/7 service, respond within 30 minutes for common vehicles and within one hour for heavy-duty vehicles, maintain at least two towing vehicles, operate a compliant secure impound facility, and provide trained and properly licensed personnel, required equipment, insurance, and a detailed price schedule. Proposals are limited to four pages, excluding the one-page cover letter, required questionnaire statement, references, and appendices as specified. A current fee schedule, at least five similar-service references, a completed Acceptance of Conditions Statement, and a Certificate of Liability Insurance are required.
