Description
Alameda County seeks a qualified contractor to provide and coordinate comprehensive health care for people in custody at Santa Rita Jail. The scope includes 24/7 clinical coverage; intake screening and health assessments; sick call and chronic disease management; medical, dental, pharmacy, specialty, emergency, and infirmary-level care; substance-use treatment and medication-assisted treatment; care for pregnant and postpartum patients; and discharge and reentry coordination. The contractor is responsible for arranging and paying for covered outside medical services, pharmaceuticals, transportation, and related care, and must coordinate with County agencies and other providers. The contractor must provide staffing, operational oversight, electronic health record and reporting capabilities, quality improvement, and support for National Commission on Correctional Health Care accreditation. Proposals must address the service approach, staffing plan, implementation and transition plan, references, and cost narrative, and include the County’s bid response materials and pricing form. Attendance at the November 12, 2026, site walk-through and bidders conference is mandatory to remain eligible to submit a proposal.
