Franklin Public Utility District No. 1 is establishing its 2027 Pre-Qualified Contractors List for future work on the District’s electrical and fiber systems. Eligible work includes substation, transmission, and distribution construction; streetlights; dock crew projects; meter testing; pole testing and treatment; tree trimming; fiber splicing and repairs; and overhead and underground fiber construction. Applicants must demonstrate adequate financial resources, relevant experience and technical qualifications, the ability to meet required schedules, satisfactory performance and integrity, and eligibility to receive awards under applicable laws. This is a contractor prequalification process, not a notice of bids; only successfully pre-qualified contractors may submit bids for future work. The application is due October 22, 2026, and the list is intended to be established by January 1, 2027.
