Description
This Sources Sought/Capability Request for Information concerns a potential design-build and design-bid-build construction requirement for an islandable microgrid at Yakima Training Center. The microgrid would provide resilient power to the Digital Multipurpose Range Complex. The anticipated work includes a ground-mounted 1,300 kWdc photovoltaic array; a 1,000 kW/8,000 kWh battery energy storage system; 775 kW of propane-fueled generation with a 12,500-gallon propane storage tank; and approximately 11 miles of high-voltage underground electrical and telecommunications ductbank serving facilities within the complex. The notice is intended to assess industry capability and inform a potential set-aside; it is not a solicitation for immediate contract award.
