Siskiyou County is seeking a consulting general contractor to support development of the Siskiyou Integrated Wellness Center, an approximately 27,000-square-foot, three-story behavioral health facility with outpatient clinic space, offices, conference and group meeting rooms, support areas, restrooms, mechanical and IT rooms, and approximately 94–136 parking spaces. The ground-up construction project has an estimated cost of $27.4 million and is funded through the Behavioral Health Continuum Infrastructure Program Bond Round 2. The selected consultant will review architectural documents and drawings; prepare detailed cost estimates and schedules of values at multiple design phases; provide feedback on code compliance, energy efficiency, cost efficiency, and constructability; assist with standards and specifications for a future general-contractor RFP; review prospective general-contractor qualifications; assist with obtaining a building permit; and provide construction management through inspections, meetings, payment and change-order reviews, schedule and cost monitoring, problem-solving, closeout, and punch-list oversight. The consultant will serve in an advisory role and will be ineligible to bid on the subsequent construction contract.
