Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) is soliciting bids for fuel reduction treatments at the Horseshoe Ranch Wildlife Area in Siskiyou County. The project includes prescriptive or cultural fire, hand treatment, mastication, chipping, pile burning, and prescriptive grazing. Associated work involves creation of control lines for prescriptive or cultural fire, and improvement of existing roadways to act as control lines or provide safe egress during fire resiliency treatment efforts. Follow-up maintenance includes prescriptive or cultural fire, hand treatments, and prescriptive herbivory. This project is a Notice of Exemption (NOE) under CEQA with exempt status Categorical Exemption (15301, Class 1; 15304, Class 4; 15308, Class 8).
