Description
Klamath County Public Works is soliciting written sealed bids for the 2027 EAC Rock Production Project. The work consists of producing 15,460 cubic yards of 3/8-inch-to-#4 chip rock and stockpiling it at various locations in Klamath County. The engineer's estimate is $700,000. Plans, supplemental standard specifications, and special provisions may be obtained from the Klamath County Bids Posting Website. A bid security equal to 10% of the total bid is required and may be provided as a surety bond, irrevocable letter of credit, cashier's check, or certified check payable to the Klamath County Commissioners. The successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds, each in the amount of the bid. At least 10 days before bid opening, bidders must submit the most recent Contractor's Prequalification Application for the rock production class of work, even if already prequalified with the State of Oregon. Contractors and subcontractors must hold the required Oregon Construction Contractors Board licenses. The project is subject to Oregon public-works wage, equal employment opportunity, and applicable Oregon public-bidding requirements. A seven-day protest period is available after notice of intent to award.
