Description
Bryan Texas Utilities is soliciting bids for recurring cleaning, visual inspection, electrical or dielectric testing, identification marking, certification documentation, pickup, and return delivery of rubber insulating gloves and sleeves. Testing will primarily cover approximately 1,000 pairs of Class 0 and Class 2 gloves annually on a quarterly basis, plus approximately four sleeve-pair testing services annually on a semiannual basis. Work must comply with 29 CFR 1910.137, ASTM F496, ASTM D120 where applicable, and manufacturer requirements. The vendor must provide electronic quarterly reports in PDF and sortable spreadsheet format, including test results, applied voltage, test method, equipment identification, and failure reasons. The desired turnaround is within 10 business days after pickup, and the bidder must state its committed turnaround time and whether testing is performed using AC or DC methods. The bid also requires pricing for replacement Class 2 gloves, Class 0 gloves, and insulating sleeves when separately authorized by the utility. Bidders must identify their testing laboratory and location, disclose any subcontracted testing, state applicable accreditation or certification, provide at least three similar client references, and submit required insurance coverage. The initial contract term is one year, with up to four additional one-year renewals by mutual agreement.
