Description
The City of Houston is soliciting bids for repair services for BMY 1000 and 9000 Series 5-ton cargo high-water rescue vehicles operated by its Fire Department and Police Department. The scope includes refinishing, aluminum body repair, preventive maintenance, engine, chassis, and driveline repairs, OEM or City-approved aftermarket parts, labor, tools, equipment, facilities, transportation, secure vehicle storage, pickup and delivery, estimates, status reporting, warranty repairs, and optional mobile service throughout Houston and Harris County. Technicians must be manufacturer-trained and certified for the applicable high-water rescue vehicles and should also be Master Automotive Service Excellence certified or meet the stated automotive education and experience alternative. Repairs must meet manufacturer specifications and applicable industry standards, with work generally completed within 45 working days. The contract is for an initial three-year term with two one-year renewal options, and estimated quantities are not guaranteed.
