Description
The Town of North Providence is seeking private contractors for as-needed snow and ice control operations during the 2026–2027 winter season. The scope includes snow plowing and material spreading using contractor-provided vehicles and equipment, with operators, fuel, and equipment maintenance included in the listed maximum hourly rates. Equipment classes include four-wheel-drive pickup trucks, trucks with and without sanders, landscape and dump trucks, front loaders, material spreaders, and liquid chemical trucks. Applicants must complete and notarize the original Form C, identify available equipment and hourly rates, and provide vehicle registrations or proof of ownership, vehicle insurance showing at least $1,000,000 in liability coverage for each listed vehicle, workers’ compensation documentation when applicable, a completed and signed W-9, and the Rhode Island certification form for sole proprietors, sole corporate owners, partners, or volunteers. Vehicles must meet safety requirements and pass inspection before approval; drivers must have cellular phones or pagers. Work is compensated based on time cards and approved hourly rates, and invoices are submitted after each storm.
