Description
The City seeks a contractor to provide armed, uniformed, commissioned off-duty police officers or sheriffs for security at 21 recreation centers and approximately 20 outdoor pools, including surrounding play areas. Services include patrols, protection of people and property, access control, incident and safety reporting, attendance tracking, and coordination with City representatives. Officers must be able to communicate and interact with youth, and the proposal must describe their youth-program experience and approach to that interaction. The contractor must provide supervision, mobile communication devices, and officers meeting the stated age, education, commission, training, and licensing requirements. Recreation-center service dates vary from December 1, 2026, through November 30, 2027; pool service is scheduled from June 5 through August 22, 2027. Respondents must provide hourly rates and a proposal describing their qualifications, approach, staffing, and required references. Subcontracting requires prior written City approval.
