Description
The City of Daytona Beach is soliciting proposals for unarmed, uniformed security guard services at Halifax Harbor Marina, located at 450 Basin Street, Daytona Beach, Florida. Services are required seven days per week for 98 hours per week, generally from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with specified Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday coverage and possible additional service periods. The contractor must provide licensed and trained guards, uniforms, foul-weather gear, transportation, deterrent equipment, forms and daily activity reports, scheduling, supervision, background checks, and continuous monitoring rounds of docks and marina facilities. Duties include scanning guard-tour points, issuing gate keys, assisting customers, providing welcome packets, and completing incident reports. The contractor must maintain an active Florida Class D security license, have operated successfully for at least three years, provide at least three current and three former client references, and submit a fee proposal. Proposals are submitted electronically through the City's procurement platform.
