Description
The Regional District of North Okanagan is seeking a contractor to provide on-call security response at parking lots serving its parks and trails. The contractor must answer public complaints directly by phone, respond within one hour, attend sites as needed, assess and address undesirable activity, and instruct people to leave when parks are closed. For unattended vehicles after dusk, the contractor must make a reasonable effort to locate the driver and, if unsuccessful, leave a notice and report the incident with a photo of the vehicle and license plate within 12 hours. Dispatch records documenting complaints and hours worked are required. Coverage is required from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. on weekdays and 24 hours a day on weekends and holidays, year-round. The agreement has a one-year initial term with two optional two-year extensions. The annual maximum is $50,000 unless otherwise approved. The quotation must include the completed Quotation Form, a current WorkSafeBC clearance letter, a cover note for the required insurance, and a City of Vernon and/or inter-jurisdictional business license. Cost, work schedule, and references will be evaluated. Subcontracting, transfer, or assignment requires prior written authorization.
