Description
Employment and Social Development Canada is conducting a Request for Information regarding dedicated courier services between Canada Post at 3 Main Street and the Service Canada Centre at 64 Main Street in Port aux Basques, Newfoundland and Labrador. The anticipated service includes daily pickup and delivery of mail, parcels, registered mail, Express Post, Priority Post, and related documentation from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding statutory holidays, with return delivery of outgoing mail. Respondents are asked to describe their service capability, corporate experience, delivery approach, staffing and vehicle resources, contingency arrangements, security and chain-of-custody procedures, tracking and proof-of-delivery capabilities, operational risks, and recommendations. The provider would need dedicated vehicles and drivers, backup personnel and vehicles, secure handling procedures, applicable licenses, and drivers with Government of Canada Reliability Status security clearance. This RFI is for information-gathering purposes only and will not result in a contract award.
